Things I know... Sort of.

It’s been a minute. Oops…

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1974)

digbicks:

Non-sign II is an installation by seattle based art collective Lead Pencil Studio located at the Canada-US border near Vancouver. The sculpture is made from small stainless steel rods that are assembled together to create the negative space of a billboard. While most billboards draw attention away from the landscape, Non-sign II frames the landscape, focusing attention back on it.

This man is the leading republican candidate for president of the United States of America.  That means, a majority of voting republicans believe he is the best candidate to lead this country.  Let’s see what he thinks about freedom in this country, shall we?
Rick Santorum wants a federal ban on gay marriage, restricting the freedom to marry.  He would invalidate any existing gay marriage, which is horrifying because would revoke the spousal rights of any gay couple who has gotten married up to this day.  They would cease existing as a legal family.  He believes that even though polls suggest that public opinion is statistically in favor of gay marriage, his opinion is more important than the majority of Americans, so if he think’s it’s wrong, it’s wrong, and his opinion should be forced onto the entire country.  (source)
Need more?  Santorum also doesn’t believe in a right to privacy, and does not believe you have the freedom to do whatever you want in the bedroom.  He believes that there should be laws established to ban sodomy (which includes penetrative male intercourse).  Santorum classifies homosexual intercourse as “deviant,” “undermines society,” and threatens a “healthy, stable traditional family.”  In other words, gay sex is a threat to families.  (source)
I’m not making any of this up; check the sources yourself.  I’m not particularly sure why Mr. Santorum believes gay sex is so bad, but his focus on hating the actual act of sex makes me believe there’s something below the surface we’re all missing out on.  Regardless, I don’t trust him as a stable, intelligent thinker capable of leading this country and doing what is best for his people; the first source clearly shows his claim that even if a majority of this county wants something changed, it doesn’t mean anything.  By voting for Rick Santorum, you forfeit your rights to having what you think matter in this country. Your voice, your opinion, means nothing.
That is not freedom.  That is tyranny.

It actually scares me that millions of Americans thinks he’s better than Obama. Millions.

Rick.
Please.
Go home.

I think I’m going to watch harry potter more.

I think I’m going to watch harry potter more.

I get that this is a love song… but I find aspects of it apply to how I feel about my young son. It may seem inappropriate but the attachment to this song I have is the memory of dancing around my living room with my new born boy and just telling him how much he meant to me and no matter what mommy will always be there. Yeah, cheesy, corny, whatever but that’s why this is a special song to me. I may not be applying it in the same way the song was intended but it fits for me.

I love my baby boy.
